  • Rainbow  Motel has been in existence since 1958, with six rooms on the front being the start of the business.  Eleven rooms have been added within the first 30 years.  Different renovations/upgrades have been done to rooms, front office expansion, owner residence built on to back and of the 17 rooms, 12 of them have been redone as non-smoking (which also includes a handicap access suite).  The remaining 5 rooms will be, in time, redone as non-smoking.

 

  • There are 4 double smoking rooms (2 double beds), which includes 1 double smoking suite (2 separate bedrooms, with one double bed in each) and 1 single smoking room (1 double bed).

 

  • 7 double non-smoking rooms (2 double beds), which includes 1 double handicap suite, 3 single non-smoking (1 double bed), 2 single non-smoking (1 queen bed each).

 

  • Each room has TV, microwave, small fridge, in-room coffee, air conditioning, electric heat and telephones (local calls are free).

 

  • Restaurants and fast food outlets within walking distance.

 

  • Across from Canadian Tire/Marks Work Wear-house, where you can get items to fix your car, spruce up your car, yard, house/cabin, things for hunting, fishing, boating and to dress yourself up also.

 

  • Half a block from Wal-Mart, I don't think we have to tell you what is there.

 

  • Ten minute drive, to or from the Municipal Airport.

 

  • Five minute drive downtown, restaurants, shopping, museum, library, LaVerendrye river walk and the Harbourage family restaurant.

 

  • Ten minute drive to Kitchen Creek Golf Club (West on Hwy 11/71) or Huron Landing Golf Club (East on Hwy 11), Fort Frances Curling Club (North on McIrvine Rd turn onto 8th St. until you see the club house on your left.
